Create a Location Group

A Location's type, along with which Tasks are assigned to it, are determined by its parent Location Group. At least one Location Group must be created for a functional Project.

Permissions

Your project role must have the Role::Location Groups::Create permission enabled in order to perform this operation.

1. Navigate to your project's Location Groups page:

• In the sidebar navigation, select your project
• Expand the Admin navigation list
• Click on Location Groups

• From the Deploy homepage, click on the Dashboard button for your project
• In the top corner of the project card , click on the gear icon button to drop down the Admin Menu
• Click the Location Groups option

2. In the corner of the Location Groups card , click on the New Location Group button
3. Give your Location Group a Name (i.e., IDFs)
4. Select one of the options for Type (i.e., IDF)
5. Click the Submit button
